I have been using Sprint for years and kept finding spots I could not get signal. I changed to a Sanyo M1 handset and have not had any signal issues in any of the areas I have been in lately. I live near Webberville, off FM969 and travel to both east and west coast regularly. Since changing to the M1 I only have signal issues deep inside military data centers, but then so does EVERYONE else.

My cavaet is that I dont hit as many different areas around Austin as a realtor does, so there is my grain of salt to my experience.

I love at&t. Aron Rider is a great contact. He can set you up. His office is on Bee Caves Road and his e-mail address is aron.rider@att.com. His telephone number is 512.468.8815. Depending on the company you work for he can also see if they provide a discount that would benefit you. Sheck Him out. I have been with at&t since before they were bought by Cingular and back to at&t again.
They also have great customer service poeple on the phones.
