Good Sushi: Only 2 places, IMO. Mushashino (Far West/Mopac) and Uchi (S. Lamar).

Oyster bars -- When I lived north, I absolutely loved Pacific Star (183/Anderson Mill). It's a no-frills ambiance with great, reasonably priced oysters and beer. Trulucks also has great oysters, but expensive... there are a couple of locations.

If anyone knows of an oyster bar like Pacific Star south of the river, please chime in! I'd liek to find one myself.

The chef from Uchi was recently on Iron Chef America. Eventhough he lost to Morimoto I am sure it is still awesome

The French salesman at the Le Crueset shop told me the oysters at Mcormick and Schmicks are fantastic - there's two or three branches in Austin

Is there an Oyster bar at Whole Foods (central), anybody? I remember thinking their fresh seafood looked amazing.
