"ZHT" is Zilker Hillside Theatre, it's been there forever. I don't know what their next production will be, but I think all performances are free and and I know they do some in the spring and summer.

Great pics, BTW!

austinonline1 -- you exit mopac and take Barton Springs Rd east (there are signs for Zilker park off the highway). Enter on the south side (take a right, on weekends you have to pay to get in) from Barton Springs road. You can follow the signs all the way to the pool parking, which is right by the statue, train station/cafe, hillside theatre, and Barton Creek Greenbelt trail entrance. Usually that parking is full, but you can drive back up a little way and there will be parking.

ZHT is the oldest running outdoor theater in the US. I think this year's production is Beauty and the Beast, but not sure. My neighbors have been involved in this for years and it is a GREAT summer activitiy for families.

Edit: Yup, it is BATB....Zilker Theatre Productions - Home

Mike78613 - These pictures are awesome! You caught some serious beauty while at Zilker park. What kind of camera were you using?

Nice pictures, are those paths in these parks in Austin paved or are they dirt paths. I have heard that Austin is a great place for parks for walking/jogging, bikes. Thanks.
