What's the best way to get to ACL? Sunday, Weekend One.

My husband took our daughter last year, and found a ride service that he really liked. But I think it was just someone from the neighborhood (Steiner Ranch). This year I get the honor of taking my daughter, but I haven't found any kind of similar service.

I'm all for Uber, but does anyone have any idea how much it will cost? Uber has a specific web page just for ACL information; it includes all information but pricing.

TIA!

I live more in town and taking the metro rapid train and then the shuttle was very easy. It was $7 for the day. You could go to a park and ride spot and then take the train in.

Uber does 'intensity pricing' or whatever, so it is likely way more than normal.....

Drive to Lakeline. Take the train. Walk to the shuttle.

Will the train be running that late on a Sunday night for us to get back? According to Cap Metro's website, late night service is on Fri and Sat only. Looks like there's no service at all on Sundays. And it has no additional information about providing service for ACL.

They run late during special events, as RoamingTX has pointed out. It can get very crowded (standing room only and standing) depending on th time. The train also only runs a few times back and forth the further into the night it gets. I've taken it for sxsw and for ACL. Both times it was crowded. I left early for ACL (morning) and left maybe mid set from the headliner at ACL to beat the crowds. Unless you and your daughter are going to camp out at the front of the stage for the last show then you should be okay to just take a bit of a walk to one of the earlier shuttles back. If you want to for the mega Austin route maybe find some scooters and scooter down from the train and then shuttle back.

Even though I do not go to ACL anymore. When I did, I took the metro train to the city. Got off. Then took the ACL free shuttle to the park.

You can also drive and park closer and take a ride share from there.

I have parked at the plaza saltillo station (free) and taken the train one stop. All the scooters will probably be in use, but they might be a viable strategy

I have neighbors that park downtown and then ride their bikes to ACL

if you use the parkX app you can keep refreshing the 3 hour street parking every 3 hours from the app.

Lucky for me, the one band my daughter really wants to see is the headliner. So we'll probably be there 'til the end. I'm getting too old for this LOL
