Hello to all,

My wife be going to Texas State and I will be working in downtown Austin. We are looking for a descent neighborhood where the rent will not be above 750 for a one bedroom and where my commute to work is less then 10 miles. We looked at some apartments suggested by a real estate agent, Montecito is one and others next to the freeway; the commute is perfect but some of the reviews for the places in that area are horrible (crime, management, etc)

Anyone have any input on our situation or suggestions on some complexes? thank you everyone for your help.

Mark

Take apartment reviews with a grain of salt....only the disgruntled people (what is a gruntled person?) tend to write the reviews.

Try Oak Hill in SW Austin, off of Hwy 71 and Mopac. Great apartments, pretty good prices.
