First time ever biking in a Downtown area. In a sense I can see how and why people like it versus driving. Dont have to deal with traffic, dont have to worry about parking, just gotta watch out for drivers. Most of them seemed fairly attentive. Given the chance since I live fairly close to LakeLine station...if I ever had a downtown commute, that's probably how I would do it.

I bike from Mellow Johnny's (4th and Nueces) about two Saturdays a month(Scout A Route ride each Saturday 0900 from the shop). Even Saturday traffic can be daunting; but has to be better than weekday. Of course, the area around the shop(for many blocks) has been under construction for the entire 10.5 years I've been doing that ride
