Ohhhh man...that's like choosing between "chocolate and Champagne" or "silk or cashmere".

Ok, so , all things being equal, if I had to live in Austin....I'd choose Travis Heights.

#1. I've already lived in Hyde Park and I like change

#2. I like to ride the Greenbelt and swim at Barton Springs

Hyde Park hands down! Hyde Park is much more established and not as noisy. One thing about Travis Hts. is it is too close to IH35. I think there are too many robberies and
break ins in that area because of the location.

I would go Travis Heights, I love the central access and there are a few too many students in the Hyde Park area.
