42% of Williamson and Travis Counties are native born Texans, 55% of Hays, 57% Bastrop and 70% of Caldwell.

In aggregate 44% of the 5-county area is Texas-born and 35% was born in other U.S. states. The remaining people are foreign born (either as citizens or as immigrants).

An interesting item on that map - in Collin County (Plano area), 32% are native born, 41% from other sates, and 26% are immigrants from other countries.

If more Californians were moving out of California the rents would plummet. When they are doing the exact opposite. You have people from the Bay Area living and commuting from Stockton. It’s wild what’s happening in Northern California with commutes
