Soooo I really hate posting dating subject threads as they tend to get out of hand but looking for advice on the best way to meet them.

Generally I'm actually a reserved person although I have had moments of pushing myself to be social around people, but it doesn't come naturally to me, everytime I talk to someone I dont know, I'm forcing myself to do it. I'm someone who enjoys quiet time and space and not really a party / outgoing person. In church one thing I notice is there is a huge gap in middle aged ladies, they're either still in High School or much older than myself...or married.

I dont drink so bars are most likely out the question.

As for cold approaching ladies I find attractive, I feel insecure about doing that as I dont know in general how ladies feel about some random stranger approaching them trying to strike up a conversation. Not sure it's a good idea to go to a park or mall or something with the I intention of meeting ladies or how they take to that.

Theres almost no ladies in my field of work so that's also a no go.

I dont really have alot of hobbies ladies like either. I'm into Civil Engineering, cars, network infrastructure, and traveling. I don't mind gaming here and there either but lately, especially after moving here my main focus has been on my career so I havent really done much of that either.

I was thinking maybe trying a dating site to see what comes of that.

Say “hello”?

Seriously though, a lot of the younger guys on the sports board I frequent seem to use the Tinder thing to hook up with women. It appears you also might have to start hanging out at the bar scene on weekends.

People are definitely using tinder, but I would be more likely to go to meetups and do volunteer work.

Places like the sustainable food center have a lot of young women volunteers that consistently are there day in and day out.

A friend told me his son is taking flamenco dancing and is the only boy with 20 girls. I would guess it is the same ratio as people get older.

Volunteers at animal shelters are mostly women.

Also, think about adopting a dog. They're a great ice-breaker. (But if you work a lot, get an older dog who doesn't mind being home alone all day.)
