I might be buying a condo in Gardens @ Teravistas.
Does anyone know how the HOAs are there- there are actually 2 - Gardens and Teravista
I really hate HOAs, Ive had terrible experiences with them in AZ, but its so hard to find a home without one nowadays

Any feedback/ details would be appreciated
THank you!

I would think that condos always carry HOA. Do not know about Gardens condo but rest of Teravista has $61/month HOA

Thank you karpo1 for replying. I just want to know how intrusive the HOAs are there. Some HOAs members get over zealous with there authority to write homeowners up for minor things. I just HATE that! I get obvious items-- broken down cars or unkeep yards. But to write up for a smug on your driveway would drive me NUTS!

Sounds like you will have to serve two "masters" as we do. You will need to be in compliance with the Master HOA regs(pretty easy in most condos) and deal with the sub-association regs(most likely dealing with appearance of the unit, parking, etc).

I don't find it a problem as the Master HOA doesn't usually care at all about sub-associations as long as they don't do anything completely nuts.
