I didn't get a photo. I was absentmindedly walking from my car to the entrance of the building and casually there was a grey feathered huge creature purched upon one of the support beams on the cieling with HUGE round eyes that looked like a cat. I didn't stick around, as soon as I saw it I scurried my way out of its view. I couldn't believe I was looking at an owl. He paid me no attention from what it seemed and I walked right under it.

The next day I'm coming into the garage and now he's on the ground behind a parked car...

Should I report this to the property owners? If someone gets a face full of talons that wont make for a good way to start your work day.

Unless the owl seems injured, I wouldn't worry about it. Owls don't attack people, they eat rats! I encounter owls weekly on my dog walks. They are chill.

If the owl seems injured, call 311 and Animal Control and Austin Wildlife Rescue will get involved.

This. Owls are not aggressive. In fact, friends in Dallas have an owl nesting box in their backyard, the photos are beautiful.

If he’s trapped inside and can’t find his way out then he might need assistance from wildlife rescue helpers.

The owls I have seen here don't hide when they see me, but watch me very carefully. I enjoy walking slowly around them just to see the head follow me.

We have lots of owls where we live in Round Rock and they also can be found in the City of Austin.

They don't pose a threat unless they are large (i.e. great horned owl) and you have outdoor pets (i.e. cats and other smaller animals). They will predate on cats (which are basically not much bigger than some of their usual fare) and small animals such as rabbits. One coworker who lived in south Austin lost a cat to a great horned owl (only one piece of it was recovered).

Be happy it's there. It's eating the vermin that thrive in parking garages that you don't see during your day job.
