Im currently under contract with Dr Horton in the Cantarra area, they use Austin building codes. Im still researching other options just in case there something far better out there. my budget is 280k. would love yall's input.

Look at Caledonia Builders. They are local and relatively small in contrast to the National mass producers. Currently in Carmel subdivision

For your price point and being closer into Austin, that's probably the best neighborhood. If you wanted to be in P'ville and willing to go out to 130, your options open up a lot as there are many builders in your price point. I've sold DRH in Cantarra and it's not a bad product.
