Looks like a pretty good line of rain supposed to come in around 6 pm tonight - right in the middle of our reschedule (from Saturday) lacrosse game

I drove into a wall of rain that came down like a waterfall on my way to SATX on Saturday. I knew they were getting hammered before I went.. ..when I was approaching the sky was turning all green and it got gusty... I was praying that it wasn't hail... ...I just got this car out the shop.

When it came down I kinda cruised through it, many people pulled over. My biggest worry was driving into a standing pool of water before I could see it and hydrolocking. It got pretty high in some areas.

That is always the question - when is it safer to stop and when is it safer not to stop?

Looks like the rain is going to spring into existence to the SW of Austin and pass over pretty quickly and not too violently. But likely will have lightning .

I usually only pull over if I can get off the actual highway at either an exit or rest stop. Pulling over on the shoulder is risky because someone behind you who can’t see may be trying to follow other vehicles and assume you’re on the road and run into the back of you.

Severe threat for north Austin into the bill country was upgraded to a 2 out if 5 risk for tonight. I’ve got a group run to lead in far south Austin tonight. I could go for some rain but can skip the severe part.

Cat knows who runs that house, and it isn’t the photographer.

Lol well between the raw cat food, self cleaning and flushing litterbox investments, and the fact that I even chose a single story because I’ve had them jump off the second floor ... you probably got a point

We had one cat named Jeep. About 6am every morning he would jump up on my side of the bed, walk up my ample torso and start digging his claws in while sniffing my breath. That was the signal for the old man to get his butt out of bed.
