We have one of those heavy storm doors that the top glass window half slides down and the screen rolls down from the top so I can talk to them without unlocking & opening the door. That usually distracts them from starting their memorized spiel at first.
We started locking it years ago when they began opening it to do the “secret knock” like a friend or neighbor instead of ringing the doorbell.

This is your weekly reminder to be prepared for heavy rain in the next few days. Most models are forecasting up to 11 inches of rain in the next 3-4 days. Needless to say, I'll probably will be doing some treadmill running and not walking to work.

The model Wunderground uses shows a cumulative rainfall in SW Austin for 4 to 5". Not insignificant, but not 11"!

It’s pouring down quite nicely here. Also under a Tornado Watch but that’s starting to seem like the norm for every other T-Storm up this way.

It's much better like this, as opposed to just massive flooding on Memorial which happens so often.

Yes. If this low had been much further west we would be in a dicey situation like then.

Okay N4C, it took 13 days for me to fill up. I did a mix of heavy days of driving and others If literally 11 miles of driving.

Since you bring that up I’m going to reveal a secret...

1400 miles per week around ATX metro ... on top of my day job

Between this and my day job that also puts me pretty close to $200k a year if I could maintain it consistently

Between becoming personal with every uncoordinated traffic light in the city, a random excursion to San Antonio at 2am, dodging drunk scooters on Fridays and Saturday nights, and bar hopping between the Domain and Downtown ... Can you handle that without going insane?

A full tank is lasting me about 1 day.

That is a toll on a car, though. My work would reimburse me $831 for driving that much. $200 or $250 is gas, I am guessing?
