My partner and I will be moving to Austin in July. Work is going to be at Shops at Tech Ridge area. Is 35 and Palmer a good area when it comes to safety? Anywhere in that area or Pflugerville to avoid? Are people in the suburbs gay friendly? We are moving from KC area which is hit and miss.
Thank you for your help!

i think everyone is going to be mostly fine and if there is a problem it is going to be isolated people that isnt really predictable. I35 and parmer is fine for safety. I prefer the area right around walnut creek park which is a great park.

PaRmer, not Palmer...common mistake; but you'll want to study up on various road name changes, unusual pronunciations and spellings, lest you "give away" your newbie status
