I'm planning to do a happy hour for nurse's week on Friday, May 9.
Does anyone know of a good place with a separate room, good appetizer and drink specials...within vicinity of the Arboretum? Thanks!

Well, you can't do a private room, but Eddie V's has half price happy hour MOnday thru Friday, I believe from 4 to 7 and that's in the Arboretum.

You can get an awesome tuna tartare for about $5, their goat cheese and mushroom salad for the same...great deals.

Take em to one of the new fancy places in the Domain. They generally have private rooms. Otherwise, I'd say Z-Tejas is the best because of the view, but no private rooms that I know of. Baby Acapulco's on Stonelake (across from the Gateway theater) has happy hour/cheap appetizers and stuff. That's about the closest to Seton NW, but also North Austin, I assume you are wanting places near one of those.

Thanks for the recommendation. Z-Tejas is great but i was afraid it would too crowded. We have decided on the Baby Acapulco on Stonelake. They seem to be very accommodating.
