I am moving to an area about 8 miles east of Bastrop off Hwy 21, Circle D subdivision, and I can't find any Internet service providers for that neighborhood. AT&T has a pedastal right in my front yard but tells me they don't service the area. My direct neighbor and another down the street have A&T service yet the still tell me they don't serivce the area. I talked to a couple of the rural WiFI providers and the speeds are just above a modem. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd call up AT&T and reconfirm with another agent or use their online tool. It's kinda odd that your neighbors have it but you cannot. If that fails the only other decent solution is Satelite or Cellular via a Cradlepoint Modem.

Satellite or Cellular are non-starters. Way too slow. There is a bunch of suppliers of broadband wireless but it seems like my location is in the "Twilight Zone" because no body's service reaches us. This really sucks.

Yes, I have close friends who live outside Bastrop, closer to McDade, and there just flat isn't any internet service available to them period.

Boosted antenna likely will give some performance on 700Mhz

Or ask you neighbor to share their wifi

Try Spectrum. They may be out there.
