Looking for a cake shop near Steiner Ranch or Lakeway that could do a custom kids birthday cake. I want something nicer than what HEB can do...nothing too crazy.

I know of Lucy's cakes down in Bee Cave...but that's about it. Even someone that does this out of their house is ok, if they have a good reputation and are good!

thanks!

Default Delicato

Try Delicato at the front of Steiner Ranch. They did a custom cake formy wife, and it looked very artistic.

I HIGHLY recommend Rise and Shine Bakery at the entrance to Riverplace. It's a little bit farther down the road but worth the extra couple of miles.

They did a birthday cake for my son and it was beautiful. I took in a napkin and they were able to perfectly match the design onto the cake. I almost felt bad eating it it was so pretty. A true artistic touch. Just google the name and they have lots of pictures of cakes they have done.

Not only did it look great it was delicious too!

HTH!

I know it is a bit farther, but Russell's Bakery near Mopac and Balcones may be a choice also.

Welcome to Cakeville – 512 350-5557

She does incredible things with cakes and is reasonably priced. I believe she also delivers to you. She did a Horton Hears a Who Cake for a friend of mine that was unbelievable!

If you want to break the bank, go to Cakes, Chocolates and More on Anderson Mill.

I am surprised a previous poster was happy with Rise and Shine. We just went to a birthday party where the cake was done by them - the boy wanted a Ben 10 themed party and it looked nothing like Ben 10 (since I have a Ben 10 freak in my house, I know of whence I speak ). The cake was delicious, though!

Default ShimmyShimmycake?

Hi

Does anyone have an experience with this place? Shimmyshimmy cakes? I saw a posting in this thread and that is how I called her.

I would love to get another opinion.

Rise and Shine seems like a costly option. Is there anything cheaper and yet good?

Default Cakeville

Gigi

I tried to call the number you gave and she never picks up.

Do you know of any other way to reach her?

thanks
