The height restrictions are do to Love Field, but I'm not sure what the maximum height the FAA allows in downtown Dallas.

This would be one of the tallest buildings in the country if built, and the tallest building in Texas. There are only so many 1000 footers in the United States, so it would join an elite club.

Right! Austin definitely punches above it's weight when it comes to it's skyline. Compared to San Antonio you'd think Austin was the bigger city.

I actually have to correct people a lot of the time. Most people think on first glance the 3 largest cities in Texas are Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Although for what it's worth, Austin and San Antonio are more accurately compared when comparing metro areas rather than city proper.

Eh. SATX as a metro feels larger and better laid out than ATX to me, it’s Downtown isn’t as impressive from a skyline perspective but I like Riverwalk and the things to see Downtown SATX.

Love satx too.....

Not sure how one would think Austin is the bigger city due to a bunch of skyscrapers?

People are silly. But it may also be that Austin is just in the news more often?

If you never visited each city, and only saw pictures of downtown, you would think Austin is the larger city.
