Hi everyone - do you think it is a good place to invest for rental income?

$ 300K house for 1750 sqft, 3 beds. COmplete mid-2021.

What kind of rental one can expect?

Thank you. My budget is around $300K.

If you purchase out-right, maybe - but if you are paying a mortgage on said investment property then I personally would avoid renting out a home in ATX metro area unless renting to multiple tenants / multiple rooms. You will have to price your rent lower than comparative mortgages to attract tenants and after which, your mortgage, ins and property tax will probably kill about any profit you intend to make.

Purchasing and flipping may be a different story but you may have to wait a few years for a property in Kyle

Rents have gone up in Kyle but if you can’t afford to pay cash don’t do it. I bought properties over 10 years ago and I own them they rent easy and I make good money on them. But if I had to pay 300k I wouldn’t do it. I bought a foreclosure that has doubled in price. If you have to do a mortgage you will break even but no money to put away for repairs.

You would probably get $ 1800-1900 for rent. If it’s a one story they rent easier and you can ask more, but it needs to be about 1900 sq ft or bigger. 4 bedrooms.
