Probably not, since it would have to be approved by congress, and it would be either the whole country in or no one in.

Shouldn't this be in the Texas forum? But on the plus side: Citizens with EU citizenship can live in any EU country. So Texans could go buy a house in Paris, Rome, Munich, etc. and live there without having to get a work visa or anything.

Hmm. I'm not sure they'd be thrilled with that, actually.

We have somehow gravitated to the center of Texas related topics, I guess that all comes apart of being in Central Texas

I don't think any country recognizes Texas as its own country so not sure how it would work from the start.

First post after op should have been, No,Texas nor any other state can join the EU. The US cannot join because no part of the US is in Europe. (EU requirement)
