I didn't do a very good job with the title of my other thread; but here's an article on the "appointment" of Flannigan to a pretty sweet deal. I'd sure like to know how this came about:

To be expected of a government official. Sucks but that is the reality. It is not a red vs blue issue, its a grifter issue.

Very true. That is how our local, state, and federal governments have been working for generations on both sides of the aisle. Cushy jobs, sweetheart business deals, “greasing palms”... it is a way of life for our elected officials.
These suckers that want to turn Texas blue have no clue who perfected that culture in this state.

Yeah, exactly. I hope people do not lose sight of this because of the winter storm and the grifting from Beto and AOC. Not to say that the current Republican government officials are not inept in some areas as the storm showed.

As the saying goes: "Democrat-voters hate Republicans, Republican-voters hate politicians". Very distinct difference.

A friendly PSA to everyone.

Just throwing out how biased this article may be.

This is in the “About” section.

The article is a hit piece and obviously the tone hurts the credibility. This article goes into flannigan's financial history and it really shows that he simply isnt qualified for a position like this.

Of course its a hit piece. But Austin politicos are an easy target.

Look at Flannigan’s replacement Kelly. She has a very sordid history of being a “cam girl” for $$, and also posted revealing pictures of herself in a very ribald forum thread at a UT sports message board several years ago after getting a boob job. Plus some hijinks with a former Austin “character” Romeo Rose.
It is out there, and I’ll give Jimmy props for not using that dirt in his campaign.

had to look up who flannigan was.

though Rick, let's face it..."huge patriot" is a biased website. not meaning to go sideways here but many people who aren't right leaning consider themselves "huge patriots" as well...

I, personally, don’t read it as a hit piece. I read it as right wing Q anon conspiracy leaning, Breitbart wannabe internet news. But, that’s just me. And the fact that they redirected to the Bulldog report doesn’t help any. I bet this Patriot website may get some affiliate kickbacks from the traffic.
