Even DAY to DAY, we can get swings that "average" out to some number, even though no single day in the period actually WAS that number.
Average, mean, median, usual, frequent, normal...
Lies, damned lies and statistics.

Well, it’s seasonably hot today, but it’s May now.

We're already in the middle of May and it's been surprisingly nice and cool outside during the past few days, I know last weekend was very warm and muggy outside, oddly it's cooler here than it is back home in SE Washington State which surprises me.

I guess Texas is still trying to recover from that 0*F week.

I didn't arrive in Texas until a week or so after the cold blast, how often does it get below freezing in Austin?

So far I'm really liking the weather in Texas and can't believe there aren't as many days where it gets up to 90 or higher, I thought the hot weather usually kicks in starting the month of May.
