That’s pretty slick! I have never heard of a deactivation device like yours. What’ll they think of next?

My wife's car (Subaru) has that built in through the 'Starlink' system - you have to call the police to file a stolen vehicle report, then call the Subaru center and they will coordinate with the disabling and recovery. It does NOT stop the engine while the car is moving, though, for safety reasons. It will disable it when it is stopped and it Subaru can relay the GPS to the police for recovery.

Or that is my understanding, we have never used it.

You CAN set it so that you get notified if/when you car is started and are not in it, as well.

I am a huge proponent of that, one in the chamber that is. And personal protection.

Of course, empty chamber = paperweight.

Anyway, seems too many car thefts/break-ins are due to carelessness by the owners.

I wonder if any real law enforcement experts were consulted about the defunding, redirecting of services, & reorganization of APD? Do the city leaders really know what they are doing here, or are they screwing up major league like they did with the ‘homeless” fiasco? Seems like the general safety of the citizens is being ignored.

Very cheap insurance:

https://www.amazon.com/Coban-Real-ti...x=TK103&sr=8-3

There’s a large yellow wire in the harness that gets wired to the fuel pump relay to disable it in the event the owner texts the device. I have all my wiring hidden and it looks like factory wiring and the device itself is hidden in the kick panels so they will not see it if they tear the dash apart. Only drawback is it requires a GSM network and the only large scale provider that provides that now is TMobile. AT&T used to but they changed. Verizon and Sprint are CDMA.

Yeah, OnStar provides this as well on the SS but for a monthly fee. That plus they won’t shut the car down until the police are standing by where as with this device I can shut him down after his speed is less than 15 MPH.

The problem is liability, though, if you cause an accident or something.
