Hi

i am writing this regarding our son's admission near Redmond area WA.We are moving to the US by September 2021 from India. Our son was born on February 2011 (10 years old) and is studying 6th Grade( middle school) in CIE syllabus in India. We understand that in American education system, he would qualify for Grade 5 only, given he is 10 years old.
can any one let us know if there is a way that he can continue his 6th grade considering the fact that he has successfully completed CIE Primary 5th grade by April 2021 or would have to repeat 5th grade in America.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

You will have more luck posting this in the Washington forum, as the school rules may vary considerably from state to state and even vary by district within the state.
