Hmmm..with a name like "apt guy" supporting Austin Apt Guy, makes me wonder if you ARE the same guy.

I might be wrong but I am pretty sure there have been other threads that do not speak highly of apt finders, as they do not really find the best thing available, but rather steer apt seekers toward the complexes where the finders have deals. After the newcomer is here and gets used to the area, he/she may find that they weren't offered the best fit or even what they asked for. In my opinion, using "free" apt finders is like asking the fox to watch the chicken house.

This post is kind of old now, but I used to live in a complex on Jollyville Road, near braker, and really liked it. It was nice, lots or trees, and very reasonably priced. Also right by the Arboretum.

Default I've lived off Jollyville for 7 years

I've owned a home off Jollyville for the past 7 years, have lived in Austin since 1980, and am a REALTOR, so I know the city pretty well. There are a LOT of apartments, garden homes, condos, townhomes, and houses for rent in this area. Often you can find houses for the same price as apartments.
