Just saw some stats from a local title company.
Depressing, the area where I am selling is a buyers market with 13 months of inventory in my price range, the area where I want to buy is a seller's market with just 4 months of inventory in my price range!!

yes, all in central austin!

Central Austin is always a hot market. Willy, you might want to provide the location you're inquiring about to get an accurate assessment. The Austin market is different depending on location. I'm sure Austin-Steve will chime in soon. He is definitely a GREAT resource concerning questions like yours.

It differs depending not only on location, but frequently also on price range in a particular area. AustinTraveler is right, we need an area beyond "Austin" to give a realistic answer. However, most title companies do have an "overall" category.

What kind of statistics are you looking for, also?
