Wichita, Kansas and OKC are 2 ENTIRELY different places and aren't at all similar. Wichita is maybe a quarter of the size and has less of an arts scene, a much smaller skyline, and much less to do. Let's see Wichita get an NBA team. Don't think it will happen.

All of this coming from someone in Ft. Worth, Texas which is only 3 hours away from OKC. The scenery is NO DIFFERENT. The culture is NO DIFFERENT as Ft. Worth and OKC both have a strong history as being "cow towns."

Yes, Austin is considerably different than OKC in some aspects but if you ever get to make the short drive to OKC from Ft. Worth I encourage you to visit the Paseo District, Plaza District, and OKC's Midtown for a great taste of arts with galleries everywhere, live music, sculptures, festivals, it goes on and on. One can drive through the Paseo from spring time to late fall and see people gathered in front lawns and old restored 1920's apartment buildings playing live music, barbecueing and just hanging out. These areas are also our more liberal areas of OKC where a Romney sign generally will not be seen. You gotta come check it out. We are pretty friendly up here too and would love to have you.
