State sponsored job board, works with IExp.

What 'thinkingabouttexas' said. For a DC atmosphere you'll prefer Austin to San Antonio. So you'll be able to go to SA for a weekend getaway. Austin would be more 'DuPont' like.

Actually, Austin has an unemployment rate of 4.4%, which is far better than the national average of 6%. The highest job growth in the city has been in the government sector, which is great news considering your masters is in Nonprofit Management. The best job site for government jobs in Texas is Work In Texas (WorkInTexas.com Home: Helping Texans Work Better.). On the right side of the screen, you'll see "search for state jobs". You don't have to have to sign up to search for these jobs. Careerbuilder and Yahoo Hotjobs also have a lot of listings and you can find the occasional interesting position listed on CraigsList. At 25, I would definitely suggest Austin over San Antonio due to the huge number of young adults at UT, Austin and the music/club scene of 6th Street, 2nd Street, and the Warehouse District. If you end up with a government position, you will most likely have your pick of North, South, East or West Austin since most of these agencies are located downtown. Price will be the deciding factor here.

I really disagree with the real estate blogger about choosing Austin over San Antonio. San Antonio has more clubs than Austin. The club scene is not centralized but spread out over the entire city. Great jobs in both cities.
