Do any of the neighborhoods in Austin have ice cream trucks that come through during the summer?

I wish ours did. When I've been in Austin, I've seen the Mexican men with the carts out. I used to buy from a guy in our Denver neighborhood and they were pretty good. I saw one at my niece's school when I went to pick her up last week. I was surprised to see it at a school but it was also a hawaiian ice truck. It sold both. But this wasn't in Austin, it was in Hutto.

Got one in 78749......can hear it for blocks, but it doesn't come that often, and the schedule seems irregular.

In 78704 the trucks mainly go to the bigger apartment complexes. We have a fair number of pushcart vendors too.

We have one around here - 78729 - that looks about 100 years old, the kids are terrified of it - they think the childcatcher is driving!! Well, maybe that's what I told them...

They do know that if the music is playing, it means they've run out of ice cream....

We have one in our neighborhood (Twin Creeks, Cedar Park) that sells snow cones. My son loves it.
