We are looking into Ruby Ranch, having lived in previous equine friendly planned developments. Can anyone give us the real deal on the water situation. We are considering a home that was built before the community water line therefore well water. Is there any concern with the depth of current wells given the diminished recharge to the aquifer? We are getting up to speed with the concerns about the "Crusher" and asphalt business. We will attend the Feb homeowners meeting. Any advise will be appreciated!

We had a lot in Ruby and sold it when the rock crushing plant made their plans. I don't know about the specific water situation in Ruby, but you're right to be concerned about the water in North Hays County. Some wells are running dry, making folks truck in their water or go with rain collection.
