I am housing my niece and her two kiddos because they still have no power and don't anticipate any until "MAYBE" late Monday.
Luckily, she has lived in Austin before so it is not like a TOTAL newbie!
Her children are 3 and 6 and mine are 8 and 10...it is challenging mixing all those personalities together. We have gone form 4 pp to 7 pp and I am just realizing how small my house really is

Anyone else housing friends or family?

My sister has my stepdad and his mom. Our mother decided to try and tough it out.

The last of our guests just left yesterday. We went from our normal four to twelve (five of them under the age of 5) for the first two days, and then eight. Luckily none of my guests had major damage, and were in contact with their neighbors.

So we used the time to hang out and catch up. Our kids are with the grandparents and now it is down to just two of us. It is so quiet!
