Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the River Ranch subdivision located directly behind Steiner Ranch. You take Quinlan Road toward the river and you have to pass right through it. There are some awful looking trailers/mobile homes near the boat launch and spa area, but there seem to be some nicer houses, too, a bit closer to the edge of the Steiner section. What gives? We were looking at houses in the Steiner development today and just sort of stumbled across the River Ranch area while we were driving around.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Default river ranch

I can't tell you for sure, but I can make an educated guess. When Steiner Ranch was a ranch owned by the Steiner family, there was a little community centered around Quinlan Park. Many little fishing cabins, week-end places etc. It was very common for ranchers with river/lake frontage to sell little tracts of property on the fringes of the ranch for some quick cash. If you drive around almost any area along the lake you will likely find old, simple neighborhoods now surrounded by new, high end developements.
Many of those folk are enjoying lake/river frontage without all the rules/regs of HOA's etc. Many are also enjoying the thoughts of how much their little trailer houses are now worth!

Thank you so much for responding! I have found very little info on River Ranch online.

Oops! Just realized it's called "River Ridge" not River Ranch as I originally stated.
