Have you tried the Grove yet? It's on Bee Caves Rd. just past the intersection of 360. Across from the County Line. It's kinda contemporary Italian like Vespaio, but with a nicer outdoor patio area.

Also Hudson's on the Bend on 620 is a treat.

I will second Moonshine...oh I miss that place. I also loved grabbing lunch at Foodheads near campus. For really low key dining, Freddie's Place is another favorite as is Habaneros, both off of South 1st. Too many good restaurants to mention. Austin rocks when it comes to food.

I agree...I miss all the wonderful restaraunt options in Austin...we could always find a great place to "eat, drink and be merry"!

I like La Traviata on Congress for Italian. It's not super cheap, but not outrageous. best spaghetti carbonara I've had in my life.

Default The Grove

We actually did try The Grove our first week here and really liked it. I have no good excuse for why we have not gone back but we will.
We will also try the other places mentioned- can't wait.

If you are up north try mirabelle for lunch or eddie v's happy hour specials.
