I am planning to enroll my 2 year old daughter to the Children's Courtyard at Spicewoods. Does anyone have a recent experience with CC?

This is secondhand, but we had a friend that was there for quite a while and really liked it (and she would have to be classified as 'picky'). The director (assuming it hasn't changed) came from the CC near our house, and several neighbors who take their kids to that CC were really sad to see her go. She is apparently very good.

The company in general is very well regarded, too.

On the other hand, I know nothing about it first hand .

Thumbs up good daycare

We started both of our kids at CC Spicewood/Mesa at 3mo of age and have been there several years, now. The director seems to change every year but the staff that stays is very good. Most of the teachers seem to take a real interest in the kids (as opposed to just "being there").

This particular CC location is the most expensive of all the CC locations but the staff is good and generally the kids/parents are nice as well. We've had friends move their kids from CC to less expensive daycares but then return after having comparatively poor experiences at other daycares.

My biggest complaint is not with the school itself but with a few parents who refusue to park in a marked space and instead park curbside in the fire zone directly in front of the steps/ramp of the main entrance. This is the entrance where toddlers and babies are evacuated in response to fire alarms. During an evacuation all babies are grouped into eight roll-around cribs and pushed down the ramp of the main entrance so parking in front of the ramp is a real safety hazard. Fortunately the school is next door to a fire station so the response time to fire alarms (there have been a few false alarms) is excellent!
