Help! I need your advice! We live close to Braker and Metric and are still in search for a good pre-school for our 3-year old daughter. Please post any/all advice on schools that are great in this area (doesn't have to be Montessori).

We currently have our daughter in Bright Horizon's on Braker. We've liked this school a lot up until she went to pre-school. We've tried to initiate some changes but with little to no success. There is a lot of turnover and the good teachers in pre-school have moved on.

We checked out The Children's School and liked the teachers there but didn't so much like the facilities; feedback on this school seems mixed...some of the Bright Horizon's pre-school parents are moving their children to this school though so it's still in the running. We also checked out Arbor and North Austin Montessori but didn't make a connection with the staff there. We checked out Hawthorne Montessori and liked the teachers plus the ratio was low so there's a lot of attention that can be given to our child there; we found 1-2 negative posts on Hawthorne but the majority were positive posts. Next we are visiting with a Stepping Stone School on Shoal Creek, the Austin International School and a few more Montessori's.

We are not set at all on where to go - we do like the Montessori approach but are not excluding any other schools in the pool of potential pre-schools for our 3 year old. Please post any/all thoughts/suggestions for school in the N / NW area!

Thanks,
D
