Please keep a lookout for these 2 dogs. A municipal worker left a gate open and sadly they disappeared. The owners are heartbroken.

In your travels if you spot these 2 dogs, please contact:

Last known location:austin, Texas United States
South Austin near William Cannon & Westgate

Thank you so much. I know city-data is an active and supportive community. Praying these precious dogs find their way home safely.

There is a sizeable reward for both of these dogs.

Have you looked on craigslist to see if someone posted on there that they found them. You can also post this same post there. Good luck finding your babies.

they are not my dogs - i posted for a friend. she is just devastated. I've known the dogs since they were pups, and she is a devoted dog owner. right now she has taken in 2 foster boxers, because she has such a giving heart.

I can't imagine the depth of her heart break. We think someone must have them and that's why i'm hoping with the high traffic on this forum that someone will recognize them.

Thank you so much for keeping your eyes open for these precious babies. With the males heart and the females deafness, they really need to be found.

ps - yes she has ads on CL, dogdetective, 300 fliers, goes to the pound daily, contacts all rescues.

that's why we're almost pleading with the public to help find them.

thank you so much!

I can't help but point out that it is not the fault of the municipal worker who left the gate open. Please tell your friend that it is her responsibility to make sure that her dogs are safe and contained so that this doesn't happen again.

That said, I walk my dogs daily in another part of south austin, and I will definitely keep my eyes open for those boxers.

oh no problem. she realizes she should have padlocked the gate, not just relied on the latch. she adores these two dogs like her children and had she realized the risk, it would have been padlocked.

thank you so much for keeping your eye out for them in south austin. they haven't been picked up by animal control or on a dead dog list, so they are still out there. hopefully someone is caring for them.

Hopefully, they will be found and returned to their people and all of this will just be one, long doggie adventure

That is one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard. It is the municipal worker's responsibility to leave things as they were when he got there.

Keep the faith. I lost my dog one time for 3 days and he was finally found and returned by Will Co Dog Catcher. You have to file a missing dog reprt with all the shleters, post it on craigs list, check the shelters daily, etc...

Best of luck to you and those dogs.
