Thanks. I'm not sure that does make me feel better though. I want Austin to be warm and sunny. I just wish I were there to enjoy it.

It has been sleeting at my house pretty much all night! And to go from 81 as the high today down to the lower 30s, sucks! Guess I will have to break out the sweatshirts for tomorrow morning!

Cool! I'm glad to know you CAN get snow once in a while down there.

Enjoy it!

Driving in today looked like a regular Toronto morning with all the white covered cars.

I'm happy to see that people in Austin are just as lazy as people in Toronto when it comes to scraping windshields and such. (Assuming anyone in Austin has a scraper.)

77 by the weekend. Woo Hoo!!

Montreal was a great city to grow up in, and as such, I always had a Montrealer's bias against Toronto. I always lived in the areas outside of Toronto and not in the city proper.

My wife is from Ottawa and we both agree that Austin and Ottawa are very similar in size, layout and demographics. Both have a economic make up that consists of government, universities and high tech, plus a smattering of other industries and the usual service trades. And both cities have easily accessible outdoor activities and lots of green space and hiking/biking trails in the area. This tends to attract the same sort of people whether you live in the frozen north or the baked south.

Can't say the weather is the same.
