Where is the best place in Austin or around Austin (Round Rock, etc.) for
youth and adult basketball leagues? Where does one go for good
pick up games?

TCK, I came across some additional basketball league info for you out of the Four Points News newspaper up here. Not sure which of this applies to you or your children, but maybe if it doesn't help you it will help someone else!

* Fifth grade girls competitive basketball league starting in Cedar Park

* Round Rock Parks and Recreation is registering for youth basketball leagues. Division 1 and Division 2 leagues for boys and girls of all ages. Fee is $80/$85...www.eteamz.com/roundrocksports

* Youth basketball leagues ongoing at Lifetime Fitness on 620. Additional teams for boys and girls in middle school and up for tournament play and in leagues in/around Austin are also being formed: www.fundamentalflavor.com (broken link)

HTH!!!

Our RR YMCA has leagues for youth, and perhaps adults.

West Enfield Park (Enfield Rd. & MoPac) has a long reputation for pick-up basketball games.

Enfield (right off MoPac), Northwest park (lighted), used to be games up at Murchison Elementary off of Far West, ACC Campus of Metric, UT rec center and Gregory Gym all have adult pick up play, although the UT locations you probably have to pay some semester fee. Used to be some good games down in San Marcos at Sewell Park (I think that was the name of it...righ on the river).

The city of Austin has leagues, too. Call the PArks and recreation department to get the locations, play levels, and times.

Town & Country Sertoma for youth leagues, altho it might be too late for the spring season .....that is if you live in the 620/Parmer area
