Just wanted to give this a bump. If anyone is looking for something to do today, it's a really neat festival to watch!

That confused me, too. The bump was simply a link to the actual, official site of the event in question that is going on today, not a link to a private business site (which would be against the city-data TOS , of course).

So how is that "jacking", or do I misunderstand completely the meaning of the term?

Yeah, I didn't get it either? I only posted the "official" link because it has parking info and everything... sorry if I jacked your thread!

Well, on the web people get sensitive if they bring up a topic, and someone else comes on and drops a link.......just the 105th reason why
web communication will never replace person to person....ever.....

Maybe we all should just go fly a kite...

ATXCIO: Pardon my sarcastic approach to your post about the festival.

I was addressing the fact that a senior member with linking privileges (You) bumped a thread I started (without linking privileges) on a article piece that I wanted to promote. The actual forum post has a first page ranking on Google, as well as the promoted article itself does.

Even though this article has Google ads attached, I have never really considered the Austin Mystique Magazine as a business site. It has always been just a showpiece for Austin.

Nonetheless, it has Google ads and therefore is indeed a commercial site and probably should not have been posted on this forum. My Bad!

Please accept my apology for any confusion started by my post.
