Hi Folks! I am flying in on Sunday and I am looking for transportation from the airport to Anderson & Burnett area. Is there a bus? Shuttle of some sort? I fly in at 4:30pm. I plan to do this a few times a year so I am looking for convenience but don't really want to pay cab fares...thx in advance

Hm - that's pretty far. You might be able to take the bus, but I'm guessing you'd have to transfer a couple of times and it would take you a couple of hours to get there.

There is a bus transfer station at the Northcross Mall, which is right at Anderson and Burnet. You will have to make a couple of transfers to get there from the airport (start with the 100 bus from the airport)... and it will take an hour or so. But it's cheap, and the buses aren't crowded.

You only need to make ONE transfer. Take the Airport #100 bus downtown to Congress Avenue at 6th Street. Get off, and transfer to the #5 Woodrow bus which you can catch at the SE corner of Congress and 6th Street. The #5, going North on Congress, will take you straight to Northcross Mall at Burnet and Anderson.

Priceline a rental car. You can usually get them for under 20/day. How cheap are you looking to go and how long are you staying?

Last time I took a cab from the airport (there were 2 of us) it was $56! We live about 20 miles away but I had no idea it would be so expensive. Had I known, I would have rented a car.

Using this trip planner Trip*Planner - Riding Capital Metro (http://www.capmetro.org/planner/process.asp?tool=TP - broken link)

it says it will require one transfer and take 1 hour and 13 minutes.
