Sharp eye AustinSpartan, I didn't see that. Wishful thinking on my part, would be neat if there was an area in central Texas that looked like that.

Tickets to France are cheap these days. Go ahead and book a trip and travel abroad for some incredible history.

Apparently it WAS taken near Austin. Hear is what the guy who took the phoro just told me:

It is owned by Karl Lagerfeld who was hosting the Art Center Reunion where we took the photos. They have done alot of work there and told me it was one of the casserns used by French Legation in the 18th century. There is also a beautiful roman-style aquaduct on the same property. I can't say for certain how authentic it is but it certainly looks great. To get there you take hamilton pool road and about 30 minutes past Hamilton Pool you'll on the left there is a beautiful gate (white marble). This is the home of the Lagerfeld's. The village, casserns, and aquaduct are found there.

I'm not sure if he's the same one or not. Either way, I plan on going and finding this place and confirming its existence in central Texas.

I'm going to call false on this one, unless someone can dig up photos of the property on Google or really good proof.

This is the only venue that I know of down Hamilton Pool Rd. Now unless you're talking about a personal residence, this might just be it.

Austin Wedding Venue, Hill Country Wedding Venue, Indoor and Outdoor Wedding Venue and Reception (http://www.hamiltontwelve.com/index.htm - broken link)

Ok, now I've been sucked in.

What I found is that there is an aqueduct built by the Spanish on the Gallagher Ranch property in Bandera Gallagher Headquarters - History of the Ranch and a great property but still don't think his pictures are of the same thing.
