I was told these pictures were taken in a small town near Fredricksburg. Does anyone recognize where these were taken? Looks like Europe!

Was told it had something to do with the old French Legation (not that it is the FL, I know what that looks like).

NM, do you live in or have you traveled to Austin? Do you know this for sure? I agree it looks like Europe, I have traveled there extensively. There are, however, places in the U.S. that LOOK like Europe because they were built by Europeans here many years ago.

I have personally never seen any area around austin with these types of buildings, but the hills in the backround do look like some of what I've seen around Austin. The person who took the photos says they were taken near Austin. If you know for a fact they were or were not, please reply. Please don't if your just guessing because they LOOK like Europe.

I didn't think it was taken on I-35

I am assuming that IF it is near Austin, it is some type of historic site, not an actual neighborhood street.

The French Legation is in Austin on 802 San Marcos Street just east of IH35 in downtown - every child in an Austin elementary (before 1980, or so) visited there on a field trip.

There are no buildings of that type anywhere in Central Texas or the Hill Country near Fredericksburg. There are some hills of a "similar ilk" as those in the photos west of Austin, but the foliage depicted is not.
