Just saw the sign today, this is going into the old Starbucks location at the East corner of Slaughter and Mopac. I can't find any information on it, anyone know anything about it? It's a rather small space, it did house a Starbucks.

There was a Starbucks on Slaughter and Mopac? When did it close?

It's was next to Taco Bueno in the shopping center. It closed when Starbucks closed a bunch of their stores, probably more than 6 months ago.

I heard this new sports bar is supposed to open in the middle of July. The website looks pretty cool. Check it out: Backspin

I was over there a few days ago and spoke to the owners... they are cool dudes. they think they will be open Aug 1st at the latest.

It looks more like a hotel bar than a sports bar. I live in the neighborhood so I will check it out. I hope it is more fun than it looks. It looks really sterile

I saw folks puttering around yesterday and this am....maybe training? Perhaps I will need a cold adult beverage this afternoon!? It does look kind of sterile, though. Sort of martini bar ish!
