I see a lot of tarantulas, they like dark places, like under your bed and in your closet...

And your shoes. Kidding, I've only seen one tarantula in 41 years of living in Austin, and that was when we lived in the country, a few miles outside of town. I was surprised, even so.

I really hope you are kidding about the tarantulas hiding under the bed. I really couldn't take that.

Scorpions, however, can hide in your shoes.

I think he is - I've seen a few, but again, out in the nature preserve close to our neighborhood. They leave you alone. So do the snakes.

YES! I check my shoes every time I go to put them on even though we haven't seen any in this house. The last place we lived, we found 'em everywhere.... pans, light fixtures, shoes, ceiling, sink, tub, clothing, etc. One of our friend's freaked out when one poured out of his box of rice crispies.

Ok. So...I'm easy to fool. LOL I was rethinking my move to Texas for a minute. I just could see a vision of myself dieing at the sight of one in my bedroom.

There was a scorpion waiting for me in the shower on Friday morning

My wife wondered how it got in there. I told her it probably crawled

Great way to start the day!
