Hi Everyone,
I just excepted an offer on my house here in Rochester,NY and will be moving to Austin by the end of the July. I currently am a school bus driver and would like to drive in Austin. Does anyone know the names of the bus companies in Austin or Round rock? Is Round Rock really a nice area? What are the bad areas of Austin? Does Round Rock have a good high school?
I can't stand the winters here but have only visited Austin once I just hope I can stand the heat. Thanks for any info

Capital Metro is the main bus service. You can find them online.
Round Rock has mostly good schools.
You can search these forums for all manner of opinion regarding good areas versus bad areas. It's rather subjective.

Welcome to Austin!

Lake Travis ISD seems to ALWAYS be looking for bus drivers, and it's also a great school district. You can probably get more info on their website.

Durham is the school bus service. However, most jobs are handled through the school ISD (Independent School District).

There are a few rodeos in the area. Most are held in February and March.

However, the Williamson County Sheriff's Posse Rodeo will be held in late June in Georgetown.

The Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo is probably the one you're thinking about.

There's also the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

And the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

And, yep, folks from Central Texas are known to attend all of those.
