Residential uses are far more appropriate for that area of town, it lacks the space and parking facilities for the clubs. In my opinion the clubs need to move someplace more appropriate.

I'm beginning to think you like playing devil's advocate Maybe they'll move the clubs WAAAYYY out of the city, like out here

That's sad to hear that Austin, music capital is losing their music. I guess change brings change..the city is too expensive for these start up people to live in anymore so maybe they'll find another place to park their guitars and a new music capital will emerge.

The only thing constant is change. Maybe Houston, Dallas, and Austin should merge and become one big city.

Are you really serious? What would you do if you were her neighbor and why?

I'm a native Texan, Gulf Coast region. I'm not an Austin native and never said I was.

I don't like seeing individuals get trampled by crowds. The women has a right to the peaceful enjoyment of her home.

-Not all babies sleep through anything. That's when a fan comes in handy, for a masking effect. Anyway, parents are advised to run a fan in an infant's room for air circulation to prevent SIDS.

-Brentwood Tavern moved into our previous neighborhood years after we did, and played loud music on weekends. It was a little annoying, but sometimes fun to get a free concert when the music was good. Our house wasn't airtight, but when I went inside I couldn't hear it at all.

-I wonder what kind of a person this lady is. Every neighborhood I've ever lived in has at least one person who likes to monitor and control others. If an issue isn't apparent, they seem to seek one out to stir up a controversy. For some reason, they thrive on that.

-If you live in the city, really anywhere there are people, be prepared for noise. I wonder if I should petition to shut down Mopac or limit the hours people can drive on it so I can enjoy the peace and quiet. I can hear Mopac now. I don't like it. My neighborhood was here long before it was built, although I didn't live here then. Maybe I should cause a stink over the once a year ROT rally (except that my husband is at the ROT rally) Those bikes going out 2222 are loud and annoying. I could spoil everyone's fun.

-This reminds me of people who move next to a school or church and complain about cars parked in front of their house. I understand that it was a residential neighborhood first, but times changed and it is a mix now. The people who lived there when it was a sleepy neighborhood are likely long gone.

-We could succumb and become a silent town so no one is disturbed, but I would move to the country if that is what I wanted. I wouldn't move right into the thick of it.
