Dang, another one bites the dust. As the tennis pro once said, "Sometimes the ball go in...sometimes the ball go out!".

I know...high prices, yuppie-this and that, cheaper at Wally-world, etc. etc. But another specialty store disappears and DW will have to find a new place to shop!

After reading the article, I'm more shocked at the fact that Scotts Miracle Grow owned Smith & Hawken.

I liked to look at their catalogs and fantasize about buying a bunch of their stuff but can't say I ever bought one thing. I've never even been to one of their stores.

Maybe Breed & Co. can fill in the shopping gap. Shoal Creek Nursery on Hancock is also fun for some of that type of merchandise. Zinger's not too bad, either.

DARN! They had really beautiful things, I love their pots and cushions. I'll miss them.
