Calling Austin-Steve.

Do you have stats showing the top 3 zip codes, MLS zones, or neighboorhoods for each year of the 2000's. By top 3 I'm looking at possibly a composite scoring of metrics such as price per sq ft increase, median price per sq ft increase, ADOM, volume, etc.?

Think it would be interesting to see trends by year by areas.

Thanks for your effort if this easy to put together.

I don't have those stats, as you are stating it. I track MLS area breakdowns quarterly as compared to the same period the year before. Over time, different areas will "take the lead" for spurts of time in outperforming others. For example, areas 8E and 8W were showing double digit appreciation in 2006 but started heading the other way recently as the higher end homes sales slowed. At present, south Austin (78745) under $200K is very, very strong. Traditional hot areas like Travis Heights (78704) have cooled off considerably though. There's always an ebb and flow. Going back to 2000 would not be beneficial, in my opinion, in predicting what's to come. The more immediate past and current activity is a better predictor of near term trends.

I produce a lot of stats but can't say directly where to find them as it would be deemed advertising, but it wouldn't be hard to figure out.

Steve

You might be able to get this information from one of the title company websites. They pretty much keep track of this stuff and have the information available by MLS area and that's where a lot of agents get the data already run for them.

It's also usually only, when you're talking about historical information, done for the past five years.
