I use Max Line in China Town, N. lamar. They charge supercut price, but have much better cuts.

+1 for Ciao Bella (from my DW)...she always gets compliments on her hair cut.

The Vietnamese stylist's name is Anh (at the Burnet Rd Supercuts). She is off on Wednesdays and will be retiring in less than a year. I always call and check her schedule for the day before going in.

Sorry I don't agree, being and X hair dresser myself, I've had really bad 65-100 cuts and really good 15 dollars one's from super cuts, it's a crap shoot imo. I will never pay over 40 again. I have had to come home and re-cut my hair many times after a 65 dollar or more cut, most of the time I cut my own nowdays.

Debbie.....

I haven't found price to be any indicator of quality either. I think the big factor is finding someone who really listens to you; so many stylists seem to cut what they know regardless of how it looks on your face.

I also don't agree. My experience has been that glitzy places charge more. They may also give you a great haircut, but they are charging that price either because they want to be know as a high-class place or because they are paying for their decor and whatever else they have added to make the place feel exclusive.

Shannon at Method Hair. She's awesome. One of the best hairdressers I've ever had. $50 for a wash/cut/blowdry.

$100/cut?!?! I didn't pay that at a high-priced salon in Beverly Hills!! I've paid $100+ for a cut & color. But never just for a cut.

I pay $40 for a wash, cut, and dry ($50 with tip) at Legends in Round Rock, by the Dell Diamond. Laura is fantastic there.

Here's my thought on this topic, and of course, this is just my opinion. How much do you spend on a pair of shoes? A pair of pants? A dress? We all know what we would spend on these items. Some more, some less. Now, do we wear those above mentioned shoes, pants, or dress EVERYDAY? No. But we style and wear our hair everyday. So I don't mind spending my $50 every six weeks because I my hair is always being "worn".

Of course, this is easy for me to say, I'm blessed with a natural hair color I like, so I don't have to pay for highlights, etc. It just boils down to finding someone we are comfortable with and what we are willing to pay. Just like a pair of shoes.
